One of the country’s most decorated craft distilleries, Hawkridge Distillers based in West Berkshire, has received a fitting gold medal at the London Spirits Competition 2023 for its new ‘Guards’ London Dry Gin.
Managing Director of Hawkridge Distillers, Phil Howarth said “It has been a true labour of love bringing this project together. Our distilling and design teams have worked with the various regiments of the Foot Guards to make sure every detail of the product is spot on. We have ended up with a very smart, delicious, and iconic product which we feel the market will love. We are all thrilled that it has been recognised so well at the LSC by the prestigious gold medal award.”
The LSC describes the London Dry as “A gin with flavours and aromas of spice and citrus on nose and palate.”
In time for King Charles III’s Coronation celebrations, the gin has been launched and is available from the distillery and many of its retail partners across the country.
Proceeds from every bottle sold in the UK are donated to regimental charities, supporting veterans in need and the families of injured and fallen soldiers.
